Know our history
1904
Rafael Ruiz Hermanos S.L is a family business founded in 1904 in Seville. It war born with a small dairy next to the recently opened Cruz del Campo factory. Over the years, from being a dairy farm, we became the beer spent grain distributor that came out of the factory.
1929
It was celebrated in Seville the Ibero-American Exposition which would transform deeply the city of Seville. In that year, there were only 3 vehicles registered in Spain. At that time and without noticing it, we were already contributing to making this planet a better place.
1930
We already reused the “waste” generated by the Cruzcampo factory and transforming it into animal food
1971
The third generation takes over the Company.
1981
We became a public Limited Company (Ltd.)
2005
We launched our own fleet of trucks.
2012
The Fourth generation takes over the company
2014
We got ISO quality system certification.
PRESENT Day
Little by little, this “waste” has been transformed into a “co-product” and we are also transforming ourselves into a company the investigates new applications for these co-products of the agri-food industry in what is now known as Circular Economy.

We have been sustainable for more than 100 years. During all this time, we have given a second use to the by products generated by the agri-food industry. Now, we are investigating new uses for these by-products, working with research centers and agri-food industries to continue being sustainable.

Pilar Ruíz Nieto
Finances
Diploma in Business and Master in Finance and Stock Exchange at “El Monte Institute”. Pilar is in charge of the numbers in the company and to control that everything is in order. Pilar is the 4th generation of the Ruiz family and maintains the spirit and family tradition that began more than 100 years ago. Now he has the responsibility of leading the company into the future. In her spare time you will see her with her family, practicing yoga, cooking or playing paddle tennis.
Emilio Hidalgo
Sales & Logistic
Industrial Engineer and has an MBA from the EOI, although lately he has become a farmer. Emilio is responsible for managing all the logistics and making sure that the factories can produce smoothly and that the farmers receive feed for their cattle on time. It acts as a link between the livestock and industrial world. That is why we say that he is an engineer turned farmer. In his free time you will see him playing basketball.
Darío Martínez de Azcona
Business Development
Bachelor of Business and Law. He has an MBA from Iese (Barcelona) and a Innovation and Entrepreneurship Master from the University of Melbourne. Darío is in charge of searching for new applications for the co-products, opening new markets and being aware to the innovations that are taking place. In his spare time you will see him running a half marathon, playing paddle tennis or cooking a paella.

PILAR RUÍZ NIETO
FINANCES
